Signing up for
service |
We hate to do it, but if you arent paying your bill, we
cant continue to provide you with service. You
will receive a notice on your bill if your account has a balance that is two months past
due called delinquent.
The notice of scheduled disconnection triggers an additional deposit, if you
dont already have a full two month average billing as a deposit.
The notice also gives you a date you need to make
at least the minimum payment by, in order to avoid receiving a shut-off
notice delivered to your door. This notice of
scheduled disconnection also includes the disconnect date.
If a shut-off notice is issued, the cost of this notice is $18.00. Disconnection is also possible during the winter months. There is no law prohibiting disconnection of service in Alaska. AELP is also required by law to notify landlords or other property owners of the potential of service disconnection and offer them the right to assume responsibility for the service.
