Week 4, 5/10/08 – 5/16/08 

Activities

  • Damaged parts to towers 4/4 and 4/5 are repaired.

  • Begin using burn barrels to melt snow at tower 3/5 site.  One of three foundations uncovered so far and appears usable.

  • New insulators installed on tower 4/5.

  • Crews finished putting together tower 4/6 in the staging area.  All three replacement towers are now complete and on the ground at the staging area waiting for foundation preparation to be completed.

  • Helicopter pad at tower 4/6 rebuilt.

  • Additional fuel tanks for heavy lift helicopter mobilized to Snettisham.

 Tower ready for airlift helicopter airlifting reconstructed tower to site Crew use earth-moving equipment to find tower anchors.
