Parade Day!

2018 marks AEL&P's 125th anniversary serving the community of Juneau! As part of our celebration, employees and their families donated their time and resources to help create an amazing float for the Juneau and Douglas 4th of July parade celebrations, and we couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Everyone who participated had a great time and we were thrilled to share the float and our excitement with the community on our country's Independence Day!  We are proud to be a part of this community and look forward to serving you all for many years to come.

A Closer Look

The community support and appreciation we received for the float was amazing! Thanks to everyone for the enthusiasm and wonderful comments  about our float and to those who came by our headquarters the following day to get a closer look at our efforts and take pictures. It made all our hard work feel all the more appreciated.

The Morning Prep

A small crew showed-up bright and early to put on the pre-parade details and prepare to walk along side the float in the parade.

The Construction Process

It began with an idea, then a quick sketch, and from there, lots of employee support and participation. Employees volunteered their time at home, on their breaks, and after hours to create buildings, paint, and bring the float vision to life.  It was truly a group effort and we had a blast!
